How many parents have created accounts for their children?
Cody normally just plays on my account(s), my second account or with me as a guest. I haven't started creating accounts and so forth.
Speaking of which, I have been thinking lately of setting up accounts for things like Facebook or Instagram where I can send stuff to, then one day (like at his 21'st) give him access to that.
VirtualForce - how old is your little one?
Cody and I often play "box-box" or rough and tumbles (I'm trying to rough him up a bit and play with him like a boy should). But we also build lego or mechano together as well. Granted he's only going on 5 now and we love just being together and exploring places, like the beach and the rocks. I finally managed to get him to the waves over this passed weekend and he was so excited, he looks to me and says, "I went in the waves Dad, are you proud of me?". I could only smile from ear to ear and reply, "Yes my boy, I'm always proud of you."
I love how my son amazes me. He start with Grade 1 this year and obviously started to learn to read. We had to help him every night with a couple of words, but because he is tired he gets frustrated. I was worried that he might struggle, but didn't pressure him, that would be the last thing to do.
Last night, we unpacked his bag, wanting to see which words he needed to learn. He himself took out a book, opened and started reading. I was amazed! Its not very complicated words, stuff like mamma, pappa and other easy words in very short sentences, but damn...what an amazing experience.
I remember reading (I read slowly ok...) about how a child's brain, especially in the early years, soak up so much and learn very fast. Raising a kid is so much more than just food and clothes, I realise I state the obvious, but I mean more the experiences you go through, watching them grow up and being able to do more and more for themselves. From relatively easy stuff like pouring his own cool drink, making a sandwich, etc. And time....holy crap it goes by fast, he is turn 7 this year...
VirtualForce, what juice do you give him? My 4th Grader has to be threatened with death (no TV, no Computer) before he picks up a book. And don't get me started on homework...

Heya, my daughter 18 months old seems to be getting separation anxiety at night. She falls asleep without any issues. But around 02:00am she wakes up with a terrible scream and crying. As soon as you enter the room she falls down onto her tummy, calms down and almost falls alseep again. Till you make a sound or move and she starts crying again.
Any of you have had this happening to you? And what did you guys do to handle it?
