Official Ghost Recon: Wildlands thread

I would truely hope so. I have not touched the game between the Betas and on the open Beta it downloaded 19Gb again.

I left it as is again, would just move it onto my SSD when done installing.

I'll get there...

eventually
Ouch! Sorry Jaco - know how keen you are to play it.

So nothing carried over from your Open Beta install then? Have you tried copying the Beta files into your full install folder and then verifying the files? Maybe that'll just pull the changed/missing/Day 1 files down? Surely there can't be that many changes in the week since the open beta?

Hi Gregg, no I haven't tried that. Does Steam work like Origin in that regard?

EDIT: Found it!!! Steam\SteamApps\downloading\460930

Absolutely no idea. I was really just spitballing there. Maybe someone with more Steam experience could confirm?

From what I can find on the internet, it seems you can't use the beta files. Also looked through reddit and couldn't find anything.

Steam also changed the way it handles downloads, making it more tricky to use already downloaded files. I always struggle A LOT to get to recognize already downloaded files.

I thought the game was Uplay exclusive?

Played for a few hours last night so trying to get used to the gaming mechanics. I must admit, playing The Division for almost a year, I've got so used to the cover-to-cover system, its gonna take a while to get really into the game.

Theres already a 2.7GB update out on PS4.

I hate that the camera automatically shifts to over the characters right/left shoulder after coming from cover. That really irritated me in the beta. I want the camera static over the right side thanks.

Wasn't there a pre-load option available?
I have been downloading since Monday evening during pre-loading. Problem is my 2Mbps ADSL line. And I stop downloading between 3pm to 12am and 5am to 6am for the family to have Internet too.

Wish Openserve will finish their 10 month old fibre installation already.

Hi all. New member to this forum. Been jamming Wildlands for a few days now and it is great. I was wondering if anyone else is playing on pc and knows of any groups to join for coop? None of my mates got it so stuck in matchmaking currently...

Can try Carbonite: http://carbonite.co.za/showthread.php?t=151532&p=1048728#post1048728

Doesn't appear this game is taking off too well, as least locally. There doesn't seem to be many threads or hype surrounding it.

I might get it once I have my PS4 Pro.

You could try hooking up with one of the SA-based Task Forces through the GR Network. (Search Page here, switch to "Task Forces" on the left, then select "South Africa" from the Country dropdown).

As BeoTeK suggests though, there really aren't many of them at all. Only 18 with South Africa listed as Country, and most of them are single player groups at the moment.

(Including mine which I made because I was bored waiting for the Beta to download, and which you're welcome to join although I'm really not the most committed or reliable player at all.) I can't work out how, or even if, you can join multiple TForces at the same time, but I assume moving between active groups should be possible. So maybe follow a couple that look like they might suit your play-style and then see which are online when you are.
