[MyGame] Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

haha you also took some selfies there. :D

Hay guys do know there is a photo mode in the game?

Also how high can a captain level? I want to issues a death treat to a captain and have him kill me, but I just can't bring myself to die at the hands of a filthy Uruk.
I've seen the option but haven't tried it yet.

I've made it to and explored all of the towers of the second map. This game is more fun than I expected :D.

The Uruk army is mine. and on a side note, Shadow of War is looking crazy. Should be fun.

I found the final fight to be a little disappointing due to it being just quick time events. Next up the Added content :)

So I have finally started my journey through Mordor. The nemesis system is really cool, especially when you get offed by a humble Uruk who then becomes a Captain with his own traits.

I've had it a few times where I started fighting one captain and all of a sudden 2 more show up - and then things get really tough. I also really like that you need to find out intel on the weaknesses of the captains so that you can take advantage of them, it really helps.

Unlock Combat brand if you haven't. It really helps you get your elfshot back,no to mention the uruk joins your side. And certain relic will help you regain health too.I normally use the elf shot to take out the bezerkers (the guys with the 2 axes sine you cant hit them from the front without using stun attack,so if you take them out then getting you combo up is easy.

Uruk's Gone Wild!

Got into a fight with a War Chief, and by accident I scared him away. After chasing after him for a good 5 minutes I finally initiated the fight... after around 30 seconds I had 4 Captains in the fight too...

Yeah the variety is great, sometimes you hunting a captain and it all over with a sneak attack or one arrow, other times it turns in to an epic battle.

Shadow strike is good for catching up to fleeing Captains and Chiefs even if they are immune to ranged attacks.

This thread has gone pretty quiet it seems. I've been working my way through the game, just defeated the Tower last night. I am really enjoying the game - as you unlock more abilities combat becomes even more fun, the stealth is great especially in areas that allow for lots of vertical movement and to top it all off it's set in Middle-Earth so I'm enjoying the bits of lore and the story line too.

The Nemesis system really impressed me too at the part when you travel across the sea to the isalnd where you fight the Tower and upon arriving there you face off with your nemesis and his band of Uruks. For me it was no one less than "Shaka the Wanderer" a Uruk captain that had really been a pain in my side for a great deal of the game. He had risen up from being a humble Uruk soldier by landing the killing blow on me - since then, as a captain - he managed to always show up when I was battling against another captain. He had even killed me again. I had slain him a good couple of times too, once even in pure revenge - but Talion never decapitated him and so he came back time after time. I should've taken a picture of him, head encased in an iron mask because of the scars I had given him.

Having Shaka face me at this point was a really cool touch and one that (although I understand the mechanics behind it) felt natural and poetic even.

Looking forward to finishing up the game and giving some of the DLC a go too.

And after 17 hours (of which a fair amount was spent on side-quests and messing around) I'm done:

Still going to complete my weapon legends and then have a look at the DLC campaign. But as far as the main game goes, all done an dusted.

I also helped a friendly Uruk clear out his sinuses

Yeah I need to get back to this and finish it. I should probably stop with the side content and just hit those main story missions hard!

I need to try more DLC, played the Hunter one wenting thinking I am OP and I couldn't hurt the War Chief, his Captains and the other Uruk kept getting in my way and I died eventually. Need to revisit that one.

Each warchief has a specific quest associated with it, and therefore a specific new mechanic to learn and then implement in the fight, making them rather nerfed and easy to dispatch. Altho if you're having trouble with the bodyguards then just target them individually and brand their asses (or faces, whichever is convenient :D) and make them turn on him hehe

Snap! Got caught up in some Overwatch and Hero's of the Storm and forgot to keep my progress posted here.

Got through to the second Area and met up with Torvin, did the hunts and Basically working on the final few war-chiefs. Should be finished by next week sometime. I'll switch back to the other area, before I finish the game to get some bonus runes/weapon upgrades.
