Hi there, currently running a Msi z97a gaming 7 board, with a core i5 4590 with 16gb of Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 4GB DDR3 1866MHz RAM and a msi gtx 1080 gaming x, am i good for an x amount of years or does something need replacing?

I think you should be good for quite a number of years. That CPU might be holding back your GPU a bit on some titles though, but not by much. That's a respectable setup.

No biggie. I'm sure there are a lot of guys here more qualified than I to give more valuable input but I'm convinced they'll agree. I can predict some suggesting you get yourself an SSD but I don't have one so I can't really say too much about that.
