Water cooling

Just because.... there are some common mistakes people make when doing watercooling the first time, so some tips:

- Buy more coolant than you think you'll need. If you estimate two bottles, buy three.
- Buy extra fittings, one extra of each type that you think you'll need.
- Use a damn tube cutter and not scissors
- Buy more tubing than you need
- Avoid 90 degree bends as much as humanly possible
- Make sure you have taken into account a drainage port, effectively a T-Join with a ball valve attached to it. The last thing you want to do is rip off tubing to drain the coolant. This makes maintenance a breeze.

That's my 2c
Waaaayyyy before all that he needs to decide what he is going to do. How many rads, pump, res, pump/res combo? Rigid, soft line

Closed Loop, Open loop, single loop, dual loop, so many options

So many things, i would prefer sending it in to be done but even shipping/courier your PC seems to be a dangerous task. I will think about what i want to do but so far i am thinking no because i do not see myself doing it. On the other hand, yes i know you get lower temps and a more silent environment. The main reason i actually want to do water cooling is because it looks so damn good, is that a good enough reason to do it or would i just be wasting money? :D

Personally I don't think the reward is worth the cost, especially if you start doing a custom water cooling setup. However if you buy a closed loop pre-filled kit and install it you can get away cheap. However you always get what you pay for.

I don't want to discourage you, but a proper water cooling setup can cost as much as a decent gaming PC.

Here are some prices to give you an idea (this is based off a build I helped someone with) :

- GPU Full-Cover Waterblock ~R2000
- 3m flex tubing - ~R450
- PWM Pump - ~R2000
- Triple standalone Radiator - ~R1000
- Reservoir - ~R1000
- Fittings and couplings ~R1500
- CPU Waterblock - ~R1000

That's ~R9k

Then again, a kit with CPU Cooler, Radiator, Pump, fans, etc... can cost as little as R1000

Watercooling aka the bottomless money and hate pit.
You're better off getting a decent clc (Corsair H100i GTX/V2) and be done with it.

Alternatively you can drop Rebel Tech a mail [email protected] and they'll be able to sort you out.

That is the other thing, i dont want to get it done and not be satisfied with the amount spent. I will stay with my liquid cooler :)
