manufacture mistake?

So i had my gpu delivered yesterday, when installing a screw fell out from the front side (by the blades). I stopped and checked to see for any obvious screws that are missing and it all looked good. Decided to install it anyway and it seems to be running fine. Possibly just a extra screw from the manufacturing line? or do you think i should rather have it returned?

I think it really comes down to you.

Is the screw definitely from somewhere, can you notice one missing, can you just screw it back in, etc?

Do you want to wait for it to be replaced, are you happy with the way it is, will it give you peace of mind, etc?

I cant think of many places on the GPU that a screw would come from, what exact GPU model is it, then you can look for a tear down and see where it might have come from without taking it apart. If the GPU doesn't use screws on its heat sink or something important then at least you know it wont burst into flame :P

Thanks guys, i have checked and i cannot see any screws missing, it is running fine and i have bought it under the attention of evetech to which they replied if i do run into any issues i can return it.

The size, shape and color of the screw might also help pinpoint where it might have come from. Any chance for a pic?

Rip the paper off cover the screws on the outside, open it up and find where that damn missing screw goes! BE A MAN!

rather don't

Yeah I think it is a screw attaching a fan to the heatsink !
This ought to teach you to buy MSI
