Can you believe it, we're getting closer to the end of the year. And I thought why not look at the highest reviewed games according to their Metacritic stats?
So, what I did was extract the top 100+ games and their metacritic scores. There are multiple games with multiple Metacritic entries, so I just averages the scores for a final game score. I found that the Top 100 games of 2017 so far has 139 Metacritic entries.

Top 10 Games of 2017 (so far):
No surprise, but The Legend Of Zelda leads the pack of best games of 2017 to date, with Divinity: Original Sin 2 very close on it heels. Interesting to note that only What Remains Of Edith Finch is a Top 10 game available on the Xbox One, a testiment of the long dry spell Microsoft's console has been experiencing.
Top Reviews by Platform
Rather incorrectly we see the WiiU on top here, with only one review of the highest rated game so far BotW, skewing it's figure. But, surprisingly, it's the Switch of the other proper consoles leading the pack, with the highest average rating of Top 100 games to date for the year. PC beating out Xbox by a fraction, but as you can clearly see, with many more reviews. That column is a count of the number of reviews for the Top 100 games. It calculates to 139 I know, but as I said, many games have various reviews which should still be taken into consideration.
