Thread Killer Mk VIII
Having spent three days away at a B&B. I came up with this question. Do you watch TV when you stay somewhere?

In the mornings I like to watch some news, first time I've watched SABC 2 in a long time lol.

In the night not really much time but I did watch a bit of a movie called Pitch Black. I'm going to look out for that movie again.

So maybe another question is have you ever caught a bit of a movie while staying in a hotel room that you wanted to see the entire movie?

Nope - I take a personal laptop with me when travelling. So usual question is can the wifi stream netflix.

If it's a new country I'll flip through the channels though to see what their TV is like. (Spoiler: Pretty meh everywhere)

Haven't dared renting a movie on the hotel movie systems...they're ungodly expensive

:wtf: You don't know Pitch Black? Yoh, it's got 2 sequels. Chronicles of Ridick and Ridick.

Answer to your Question, I almost never watch tv at hotels, have to be really bored. I stayed at The Table bay, the other day and couldn't sleep. Switched on the TV and found Rambo : First blood just started, watched that.

Edit: wish I could cast to their TV's, though.

Very rarely. I usually take my laptop and a HDMI cable with and some series that has been I've been meaning to watch for some time. Even then, watching something using the laptop is a last resort. (I'd rather go swimming)

ya I watch the movie & documentary channels if available.
My laptop is for work, using it for anything else feels too weird :D

It’s one of the few times I actually do watch TV. When I’m away from home I prefer to not start up a laptop, as it breaks the feeling of being away from the daily grind. Last time the wife and I were away we ended up watching tennis for hours on TV. :)

I've stayed for extended periods of time in hotels this year due to travelling. I do watch what is on TV when I am there, just to see which stations are available in the country. Sometimes something interesting catches my eye and I end up watching it. But most of the time I just simply watch for a few minutes while I prepare to go out and exploring of the surrounding area.

I usually need to put the tv on at night to drown out the sobbing coming from the bathroom...

too dark? I forget mygaming humor tolerance sometimes :D
