MyGaming Biggest Disappointment of the Year Nominations

Despite all the good games we've had, there are a ton of disappointment that we've seen this year as well.

Again, this category is highly subjective, and there are many things that may disappoint you of the year. Here you can nominate them all! Whether it was a company closing, a game that disappointed you, a dick move by publishers, some law changes, or just a broken heart and broken dreams, list them here!!

Some noticeable disappointments:

Half Life 3 dead
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Microtransactions and Loot Boxes
Star Wars Battlefront 2 and it's economy
EA...just EA

Nominate yours here

EA... But then again it was almost expected so...

Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Because EA... and Microtransactions and Loot Boxes

I'm absolutely going to nominate EA as the biggest disappointment of the year. I'm pretty sure everything disappointing this year had something to do with them

Mass Effect: Andromeda
Microtransactions and Loot Boxes
Star Wars Battlefront 2 and it's economy
EA...just EA

Most of which come down to EA. I don't find Overwatch's lootboxes an issue at all.

hmmm, as things are going right now, seems we won't even need a voting thread. Looks like EA is planning on being the only disappointment of the year.

I was gonna say Firewatch , but I realised that came out last year. So nothing really. Wont say Battlefront because I cant be disappointed in something I didnt buy, or have no interest in.

I'm going to say Destiny 2. With all the prelaunch hype, it seems like the PC release kinda fizzled into "just another MMOFPS" game. I sincerely hope Anthem learns from this and delivers on the hype.

My biggest disappointment is that there is no category for best soundtrack.

Luckily I don't think anything I was looking forward to this year actually let me down. In fact I liked a few games quite a bit more than I expected to.

Actually, maybe I'll throw Overgrowth in here. That should have come out 5 years ago already, wasn't worth the wait.

Lol dude I will absolutely make a soundtrack category for you if you'd like. I think I just picked what I thought would be comprehensive. But seeing as so little people actually played games from 2017 I wonder how many would be able to vote for best soundtrack. Let me know what you think.

No it's fine, I'll just declare Nier: Automata the winner by default :D
