Sup CT people.

I am taking a well deserved 2 week holiday in Cape Town, staying with a buddy of mine, so when he is at work during the day I am looking for things to do or sights to see while there. It is basically for me, wife and kiddy. Tnx in advance.

Its difficult cos it depends on what you guys like doing and how much you wanna spend?

Things to do for a family, wouldn't say a tight budget, but still on a budget. The wife likes artsy stuff like markets and historic buildings. Will definitely go on the Robben Island cruise, something for a 7 year old kid to do, I am easy I just go along

We thoroughly enjoy the Aquarium. And then theres the planetarium which is just AMAZING to go to the shows there (the whole, lie on your back and see the stars in the room). Definitely a must-have if you haven't done it before. and they're all family friendly activities.

Its at the Iziko Museum. maybe just check ahead of time since certain shows are at certain times of the day, so better not to just show up :)

Cable Car
Ferry trip to Robben island
Visit the old biscuit mill in woodstock
take a drive on on the scenic routes chapmans Peak, llandudno etc.
visit steampunk coffee in buitenkantstreet
go to the franshoek motor museum

And don't forget about Imhoff Farm (http://imhofffarm.co.za/), and have lunch at the Blue Water Cafe @ Imhoff Farm. Their Pizzas are legendary.

They also have camel rides, a petting zoo (Higgeldy Piggeldy), Milkwood Maze and a snake park

Awesome tnx guys

Also remember Fish on the Rocks in Houtbay - there is a few flea markets there and as well as parking at the mariners warf - you can spoil your wife with cheap but pretty pearls, and walking to where the tourist boats go out you will find the cutest sea lions
