After taking a spin in the modern era, Activision's wildly successful Call of Duty series heads back to 1945 in Call of Duty 5: World at War (COD5)

I was quite dissapointed by COD5. I played and clocked it only once. I still play COD4 and ive managed to finish it 14 times and I keep going back for more..not to mention the brilliant online play!! COD4 FTW!!!
 
There is definitely something very special about COD: Modern Warfare..

I cant wait for Modern Warfare 2!!:D

I still think they should move away from the whole world war 2 scene...they're just screwing themselves...nobody likes playing with old weapons..LOL!!

That's where they screwed up. The sniper in COD4 was the best I played with in a long time.
 
I dont know...I quite like the WWII vibe.

There was a time when WWII was huge, saving private ryan, enemy at the gates, band of brothers, call of duty, medal of honour...

It seems to have died out a bit, think they overdid it.

COD4 was just incredible though, the single player and multiplayer. May be the best value purchse PC game Iv ever made.

How can you not mention Brother In Arms :eek:. IMO COD is Stuart tank in comparison to BIA's Panther

Neah it was just a plain failure..im sorry but after giving us Cod4 Modern warfare they should have known no one would ever wanna play anoher world war 2 based game..the weapons suck ass...the story has been told over and over and over again!!! Modern Warfare2 FTW!!!!
 
so hows the co-op on this?
the guy at btgames reckons army of 2 co-op beats this hands down??
could it be? i prefer the whole ww2 theme personally..
 
Well I guess its a case of different strokes for different folks.. I love cod 5, cod 4 had a good sp campaign, its better than 5's I won't argue with that, but wtih cod 5 you get co-op mode as well, and I just love the ww2 setting. cod 4 mp became boring after a while, especially with all the noob voting on the servers..

COD 5 FTW !!!!
 
I must say I haven't found the weapons in COD 5 to perform any less well than those in COD 4... isn't it just because anything a little more modern has greater appeal?
 
Played COD5 and reverted back to COD4... COD4 is much more fun to me... It also seems the majority at lans prefer COD4.

A little more modern:confused::confused:

No mate there is a huge gigantic diffirence between a world war 2 pistol and a desert eagle. Once you've played cod4 you can't ever say that cod5 is better...cause it just isn't!!

+1 Modern Warfare is a helluva lot better than World @ War
