Modern Warfare 2 Cheaters Banned On PC

According to Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling, a large number of Modern Warfare 2 players on PC were banned over the weekend for using cheats in multiplayer matches.

He says around 2500 Steam accounts were targeted. That’s a lot of cheaters for a game being played on controlled servers and over Steam, which has fairly robust anti-cheat routines.

Then again, it’s a proportionate number; 2500 may sound like a lot, but for a game as big as Modern Warfare 2, it’s a tiny percentage of the overall market.

yeah we had some serious dodge okes from sa playing but i haven't seen them recently. good stuff, JUST TOO DAMN SLOW!
 
This is why casuals shouldn't get games, the hacks say it's undetectable, but than the idiots who fall for that blatant lie get banned. Now if there were only a way to detect and ban all o them, if they cheat or not.
 
Lol. Some people will stop at nothing to win, even if it means cheating. At the end of the day its their loss.

This is why morons like you shouldn't get games. You really think it's the casuals cheating? Obviously you live in some alternate reality where it's the casuals who have to win at everything, and hardcore competitive gaming is made of unicorn dust and glitter.

Honestly, you don't even know what casual gaming constitutes. Get a clue.
 
I agree with Azimuth, how can you say its the Casuals. Im a casual MW2 player. Its never the weekend jogger who uses roids, its 90% of the time the gold medalist who needs to keep the edge.
