The "LANover"

SO if you have a night of wild drinking the next morning you will wake up with a "hangover". So if you have a night of wild gaming at a LAN with friends, all night, maybe a few hours of sleep, you get home and you have a "LANover"
That's what I got, and I giving it a name
Its when you tired, and maybe irritable and you know you should sleep but instead you set up your PC because you want to check out all the cool stuff you got at the LAN

LOL random, But I'm not thinking straight anyway, I only got one hour of sleep this morning..... (5:15AM to about 6:15AM)

You forget that you also smell like stale popcorn :)
 
Along with the carpial tunnel, sore shoulders, the lambodia, and constantly reliving your most awesome moments in what ever games you played.
 
Heh ... no matter how tired I am I always set up my PC. And I always spend at least an hour or so browsing before going to bed.

Oh .. and I shower. Can't stand the way I feel in the morning after a LAN.
 
good input people! we should lobby for this to become a reconised syndrome, then hopefully you can use it as an excuse at work :D
 
Somehow I don't think it will get anymore recognition as a reason to stay off work than regular hangovers ... :D
 
Ja good point, Oh well, can we at least find a cure? and since I coined the term I think I am going to write a wikipedia article about it
 
i was also at a small lan yesterday, only played for about 8 hours though, from 12 till around 8,30 ish, jamin some hawx, rainbow six v2, counterstrike etc. Didnt have a lanover though.

Um I have been to all the major lans in JHB, Liberty, Mayhem, Rage, etc

I have been lanning for easy 6 - 8 Years.

I say again Online gaming >>>> Lans.

As far as the connection goes 2 x 4mb lines do the job nicely.

Well I was kind of talking about like LANs with friends, like Mephisto's LAN, with big LANs there must be something wrong in JHB, FRAG Had a good balance of leeching and playing games
(by gaming I mean all the top games, not just :sick: dota)
