The best portable console?

Good Technology + Good Games = Awesome

That's the theory they currently working on.

I don't really think Sony are hurting that much. They have plenty of "fun" games on the PS3 like LBP and so on.

The problem is highlighted in red. They may have a few good games, but if you compare the number of titles on the PS3 that have sold over 1 million copies compared to the 360, you'll see that the latter has around three times as many games in that category.

With regards to Sony hurting - I'm sure their share holders disagree with you there. They're losing money hectically.
 
I can still see Sony in the future...I highly doubt they going to be another Sega. Once again you people follow sales... It doesn't matter as I said earlier. I have a PS3 and I play it all the time. If I had a 360 I would play that all the time. But if I had a Wii it would just lye there and rot. Yet the Wii sells the most... That's why sales don't rally matter. It's what you get for your money that matters.

Sales matter cause If u Dont sell then u dont make a profit and if u dont make profit then u go bankrupt !

IF sales didnt matter then Acclaim wouldnt be bankrupt, sega would still be making consoles, 3DO would still be making consoles, Atari would still be making consoles ! (There's a pattern there)

Why do u think gaming franchises gets cancelled if it doesnt sell ? Answer = Sales !

Sales do matter, but he meant that sales don't determine what the better product is. That's all. The Wii is the best selling 7th Gen console but it's not the best by FAR!
 
i would say the games on ds is more additive :| geez, pokemon, final fantasy series, castlevania ... too many titles so little time ...

a small side note ... its easy to get games on the ds than on the psp ... as in hacking the psp wrongly can result in a nice flashy paperweight ... ds you just have to get a cart and micro sd card then you set ;)
 
What the best console is is a matter of opinion. No one can preach that despite the Wii selling the most consoles it is not the best. Very many Wii owners would disagree with you.

One can give their opinion, though, which is the point of this thread and what many people fail to remember.
 
I'm not a fan of portable consoles. Not the biggest fan of console consoles, though I don't mind them or take part in the "wars". I just...find portable consoles kinda pointless.
 
Well I dont have a psp anymore and i wouldnt get one again because most modern cellphones are able to render games just as good as the ds and psp ! If you look at the new ngage games coming out on the n series nokia's then u wouldnt buy a handheld console !

My phone has N-Gage and I was really surprised at the quality of the games. They don't beat the PSP when it comes to graphics, but they aren't half bad.
 
Hmmm to be honest, i don't see a point in portables either, bought the first psp on launch and thought wow it's awesome (which is is) but it's pointless... I played a grand total of 2 games on it before getting bored so I just gave it to my gf because she loves it...
My ps3 is for my games when I'm at home, I'd never play the psp, and when I go out anywhere, I'm not going out to play games, otherwise I'd just stay home :) the only good thing a portable console is good for is for long car trips where you're a passanger
 
I have a slim PSP and I hardly ever use it. The best game I have played so far on the PSP is probably Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII.

When I start riding the GauTrain I will be looking for a hand-held to keep me busy on the trip.

Hopefully something new will be out by that time.
 
I reckon it has to be the NDS (IMO). PSP has better graphics no doubt, but my NDS is the console that gets picked up the most.
 
Nintendo DS without a doubt. The sales figures speaks for themselves.
Also as a DS owner I can say for myself that it's more to do with the fact that the games they release for the DS is FUN, has great gameplay, and alot of the titles really brings in new ways to interact.
PSP has better graphics it makes the DS look very weak in terms of graphics, and yes in terms of graphics the DS isn't all that great, BUT, Graphics != gameplay, and the DS shines in the gameplay department.
