Ever lost any really close friends?

Now before it sounds to sappy by lost I mean just not friends anymore not lost as in death .

Recently just lost 1 of my closest friends, was a girl I dated a couple of years ago but we stayed close friends afterwards but lately the friendship just got too difficult and now it appears that we're going our seperate ways for good. Am not the kinda guy to normally give up on a friendship but I don't think theres anything I can really do anything in this situation and its her decision as well.

Your guys thoughts on the matter? Ever lost a close friend? Regrets for not trying harder?

I had the same prob wih my ex. I really loved her but she only wanted me as a friend. In the end I told her to fuck off. :mad:

Best you can do is wish the best for them - even if it means not having you in their life.

I've lost friendships like that - but it doesn't mean I don't care for them any less. I've also lost 4 friends in car accidents, 1 from meningitis and 2 from suicides. So if you can - let them know you love them. Just like I love Gradius. :)

Life's too damn short to get stuck on petty issues bud. If you don't feel comfortable in friendship, be mature about it - don't grow resentful.

Anyway - my 5c.

and thats y i made peace wif ma ex this week after she invited me on failbook.
 
Ya I know that now, I tried to speak to her last night to try make amends but shes not interested. Just sad really. Someone who once was such a big part of your life and this is what happens in the end.

I don't think you're giving up on a friendship here. I think you're giving up on the relationship you still want, but your ex doesn't. Right? Riiiiiiight?

The off-topic section is like Dr Phil lately :)

But yes...I have. Mainly due to distance, though, or those idiot people who ignore everyone else when they find a guy/girl (then end up running back to you when it doesn't work out).

I don't have a lot of politics in my personal life though. Probably because I just don't give a shit most of the time! Saves me a lot of worry.
 
I don't think its worth going for a friend's sister unless you're 100% sure its going to work out, otherwise everytime you visit that friend it's gonna be a lovely awkward moment ;)

Although on a side note I also seem to like a friend's sister :p Doubt I'll do anything with it though, at most I can break it down to that you always see them so its prob more infactuation than anything else.
