That's a shame - the magazine is more than just a single writer. Still, I totally get what you're saying. It's the same reason I refuse to buy a KISS album, even though God of Thunder is one of my favourite songs.

Okay, I bought it from iTunes. Shhhh. It was just the one song.
 
There's more just one writer that's made me stop buying it.
acutally the editor used to irritate the shit out of me when answering the letters section.
im like dude, stop being such a sarcastic asshole to ur customers. it's just not cool mmkay
it's only funny the first time...

they got too big and too egotistical, and it shows in the writers handiwork, capiche?
 
Yeah, the letters section was a fail too. Insulting your customer base...makes great business sense.

I think we need a My Gaming magazine :D This country needs a breath of fresh air.
 
mind you, i really enjoyed Neo Sibeko's articles.
he was really informative and answered truthfully and honestly to letters.
he was realy cool, met him before. great guy, very helpful :)
 
Haha, it was actually the letters page that was always my absolute favourite thing in the mag way back when I first started reading it, and it was the thing I missed the most while James Francis was editor. I guess different things appeal to different people, eh? I do think that, if you're really insulted, you're probably taking it a little too seriously. Michael's a really cool guy, and he's just having a laugh. Try laughing with him.

Come to think of it, i don't know why i buy NAG or PCF. PCF is a HUGE fail cause it is basically a port/ripoff of the UK mag.

NAG i liked because it is a SA mag and how many cheap PC Gaming magazines are on our shelves?

acutally it's cheaper to sub to for an e-mag for overseas gaming magazines atm...
 
The reason I don't like nag any more is as follows:
1.how they treat there customers.
2.There writing is sub par.
There is my 2 cents.
 
I dunno about you guys but i honestly don't see any reason to even buy the magazine anymore? I mean the info is usually out of date and you can get it on the web anyways. Same with the reviews and previews?! :confused: 50 bucks for stuff you can get online for a few MB's of bandwidth? And with the bandwidth costs coming down rapidly, the dvd may become pointless as well.

Not really any reason left to put up with their arrogance...thank goodness :o
 
All of the loca mags aren't worth the money. Everything they offer can be gotten on the internet,there is zero exclusive content.

Personally only buy PC Gamer, not from the overpriced CNA or such that rip you off I subscribe. Nice exclusives hands on previews quite a few months before games are going to be released or even shown to most of the press.
 
i just buy the nag for a good laugh, like their late reporting of the MW2 issues and the cover dvd

Your joking right? 9Gb not a few Mb, Videos (HD and SD) and Demos.... where can you download that for cheaper?

Well at the moment it's hard, but with so many uncapped options coming out who knows what we'll have in the next year or so! That's why i said it may become pointless ;) But at the moment it really is the only reason to buy the mag!
