So today I went to a guys house and OMG I wanted rubber cloves to touch his keyboard its like someone spilled dirt over the keyboard and never clean.
Same with the lcd screens looks like someone sprayed water on it and juts left it there...
Mouse got stuck to the desk far to many times to make me sick.

So how clean are you equipment?

I clean my stuff every morning I hate dirty shit.

Regular use, funnily enough keeps it clean. I don;t spill anything near my computers, so my stuff stays relatively clean. At the video store where I work though there is tons of gunk on the unused buttons on the keyboard, and I was like, ugh. But I on;t need to use them so I just don't touch them.

For most of my equipment, I use WIndoleen to do the cleaning. My keyboard though, I clean once every few months. I take it apart, clean each key, clean the base and put it back together. My last keyboard lasted me 10 years (yeah, it has a DIN plug) until it died.

I have an OCD thing about keeping my screen clean, is I see even a tiny speck of dust, I spray hand andy on it whipe the whole thing.

Mouse: I keep it on an upside down mousepad and it gets cleaned every day.

Keyboard: I try to keep the key themselves clean on occasion, but there still quite a bit of dust and crap between them that I have to remove the keys to get to, I do that about once a month.

Gamepad: who gives fuck? If i think it feels dirty, i'll whipe it down, but i don;t care what it looks like.

See no evil = no evil?

Scientifically speaking, your computer keyboard / mouse is ONE of THE dirtiest items in your whole home.
Been proven many times, people eat while on the computer / gaming, sweat, breathe, drink, cough, etc and for some hygiene is not of utmost priority when gaming. Who's got time to wipe hands while busy with the all-important battle or epic raid anyhow?

It is good we are not born with microscopic eyes.

i try and keep my stuff as clean as possible. dont eat or drink anything near the pc that cn spill. i do have a rubber keyboard though that i use for lanning or when i absolutely have to eat while being on the pc

Mine is always clean...both at home and at work! I cannot stand dirty PC equipment....and I don't eat at my PC either...I'll have coffee at it, but I know how to keep the coffee in my mug and how to transfer the content from the mug to my mouth without being all messy about it. ;)

One mate of mine is one of those "three coffee mugs with dried coffee running down the side/an overflowing ashtray/some strange liquid on the table" guys... makes me want to puke..
I dust my place every day, clean the mats and all that, give everything a solid clean once a week - cause come on - that stuffs expensive
I also dust my games and put them in alphabetical order which is why my friends think I'm a freakin fruitcake.
OCD FTW

so you only spill something around the rest of the house and office then ;)

At work we work around the clock 24/7 and we share pc's. Sometimes I get angry cos the previous shift left the desk to dirty Coffee stains, Loose hair and food all over teh keyboard and Laptop YUK!

I know how you feel

I eat and drink wile on my PC, clean the stuff whenever it look dirty, screen I always clean immediately

I have a real complex about the cleanliness of my LCD screens. They are pretty much spotless most of the time. As for the Mouse and Keyboard, I clean them when I see they're getting TOO far out of control. I find that if you wash your hands before you work on your PC it stays cleaner for longer (duh), but intense gaming makes your palms sweaty so it gunks up the mouse and some keys.

As for the general clutter around the PC room, well, let's just say I can still see the door.... lol
