iGame's Bad Company 2 beta servers go live tomorrow

Played for the 1st time today - [had a busy week/weekend] ZOMG what a hardcore game, plus the maps are huge.... takes some getting used too, but HOW THE HECK did they pull off such good coding?

Such massive maps, massive constant effects and systems seem to handle it - mostly.

Quite seriously impressed.

Good couple of balance issues, but all in all a crazy good game

Yeah Im hoping it will be sooner, but its probably a case of the servers are ready to roll but it can only be turned on at the time of the official release.
Im only going to be able to play tomorrow then, stupid 384k at home will take too long to pull it :(

Have you considered Cybersmart? x5 you bandwidth from 01:00 - 07:59...In case you did not know :)

Wonder if this will hit back and put it on the map like COD is now...

Lol thats what i also want to know!!

I did it the long way round .
Once you have "server browsed" and have the 'complete' server listing, scroll down to find the igames and sgs servers and manually add them to you favourites by clicking on the arrow JUST on the right of the server name, NOT on the arrow at the end (that joins you to the server) you then have two options - add to favs and server info (IIRC). click on add to favourites.

please could someone tell us an easier way to do this :o

I did the same. It sucks that you can't sort according to latency. :(

Other than that the game isn't too bad. Managed to RPG a chopper out of the air and get a five kill streak using only the engineer repair tool. Even got two headshots lol. :D

Ok cool but will you also be able to do this in the normal game to play off local bandwidth because i dont want to buy the game and then it ends up you can only play on international bandwidth. Also after you have the complete server list doesnt it ask you to connect to the EA Server again??

My doc\BFBC2\GameSettings.ini
Search for Recent Games add
RecentGames=iGame Beta 01;iGameonline.co.za;iGame;41.213.87.22:19567;41.213.87.22:19568;

Then open the game and go the history and you will see the 4 IGame servers.

I'll be giving the beta a try today can't wait :).

Cool man :D

I have seen a few hardcore COD4 players there :)
Some clans also playing it that I recognize from COD.

32 player servers are fun
16 player game for me is k@K

There seems to be a stuttering problem, hopefully they will sort that out soon.

Its great fun, join solo or a squad and get more xp points for healing and repairing squad members tanks.

The only down side is there is some stuttering problems and some joining problems and then there is the single map over and over and over again that gets a bit old fast.
But hopefully soon we will get a new map.

So I tried it out a bit. The game seriously has alot of action going on, you really feel like you are part of a rather large battle, even with only a few players on teh server. There's allways something going on somewhere, and it's kinda immersive. The game definitely needs some bug hunting, but it's only a Beta, so it would be stupid to fault it on gameplay bugs at this point. I must say never been a battlefield player, and it surely takes some getting used to. But It hasn't really impressed me, surely BF2 players would curse me for this, but ya, maybe its because it's just a tiny Beta with 1 map, but really it doesn't suck me in and leaves me wanting for more (at this stage anycase).

So i played the BETA a bit the other night and it was pretty awesome, but it really started getting old when i got the Blue Screen of Death every 5 minutes with the latest patch installed. Aslo i did that prosedure of going into Gamesetting.ini and putting in "Recent...." but still cant play the Beta locally, I hate it when you have to be connected to the server!

yeah, squad work in this game is very important

i have never had stuttering or joining problems , and i am on iburst wireless nogal. in fact i woul say that i am getting better conection with BC2 then i was from BF2, and i have been playing on all three sercer providors. there have been a few times when i have noticed some lag, but nothing serious, and the "stuttering" in the kilcam is awefull.

kudos to igame for the servers that seem in the most part to be stable, playable and an awesome service to th comunity

I tried out bc2 last night and I have no clue wtf was going lol. I haven't not played any battlefield games before. At one point my keys stopped working and i could only turn with the mouse and escape key stop working as well lol
