MyGaming suggestion box

We will be upgrading the forum software soon. It should enable many of the features mentioned in this post. Spoiler tags,rep points etc.

Also, we are working on creating a classifieds section just like on MyBroadband.
 
P.S I'm still having issues when voting in polls on the main page. Once I submit my vote the results don't show up. I have to click on "View all polls" and scroll to the bottom of the page to see them.

All reputation points will be added or removed, but the mods will look over them to see if all is right, and people not just giving others rep points because they like or do not like.

Just the point will go through with out the confirmation of a mod, but the mod will look over the points earned and see if its right.

Negative: I do not feel negative rep points must be added, a person posted ok some times not for the right reasons but i do not think a person must get negative points just because there post not that helpful. They tried and i feel there must be no negative reward for trying.

Not sure what's going on, I've just checked on both and all fine on my side - I'm running most recently updated versions. When I upload polls I always check, if I run into any problems we'll find a way to sort it out.

Even if this was possible what is to stop hypothetical cyber stalker from simply searching you alias? Since its a public forum its not like any of a user post are highly confidential and since they remain on the forum there is always a to find them.

Is there any particular reason for this request? Im just curious.

It's cross-forum really. Here and MyBB. It must be harsh for the female members with guys hounding them constantly. But even in my case, let me assure you that it's absolutely no fun having a female internet stalker for the last 5 years. If I could give her away, I would.

Sure people can find your info all over if they're really after it, but it's mostly to deter the bored person trying to dig up info on you.

Ok... i see your point, kinda. So your saying that there are people who will dig through your posts to try and get info on you to better stalk you? Wow they must be patients, imagine trying to dig through my 12K posts.:eek: Im sure if Tinman and the guyz and do anything about this they will. I was just curious about the reasoning behind the request.

Exactly, being responsible with posts online, we never give out detailed info about ourselves, but if you take snippets from all the posts then you can build quite a detailed profile of someone (Imagine how detailed it'd be after 12K posts).

As for someone being patient, some girl found my cell # via a friend online (girls asking for guys' numbers are harmless after all right?) and she's been sms'ing me and phoning me from private numbers since 2004-5. I don't even want to answer private numbers anymore.

So hopefully this is a warning of caution to you lads and lassies out there.

Yes I have had reason to be concerned. I love this site but I don't appreciate sometimes being treated like this is an internet dating site. I'm here because I enjoy most of the people here and we all have a lot in common but I would really prefer if my post history was only available to my contacts, if anyone. Yes it's a public forum and my posts are designed to be viewed but I don't enjoy my entire post history being on display. If Tinman could amend the privacy settings I and I'm sure many other posters would be very appreciative
