played part 1 and just installed recently (who hasn't right?) ... this game is so much fun, i love everything i've come across so far. much better than part 1 in my opinion... just loads of fun.

i'm taking my time, doing all the side missions etc. the game is so fluent and enjoyable i'm just having a great time doing everything right now... stuff i found boring in the first game i now love doing... well except for the planet scanning thing, that takes a while :) still; this game is freakin epic.

sorry to the PS 3 only owners :(

because couriers can't just come straight to Harrismith from JHB, they first route to Bloem then come here...

your gonna love it :) ... leaving work early to go play :D :D :D ... reminds me of when i faked being sick in high school to go home and play final fantasy 7
 
I finished the game around 2 or 3 this morning. It took me 40 hours or so, which included most of the side missions and stuff. Loved the finale and conclusion. Can'twaitforthethirdgameomg. I think some of the choices towards the end of Mass Effect 2 will have serious consequences in the last game.

This is exactly how I felt about KOTOR2 ... really really wish they'd make KOTOR3 single player (and give it back to BioWare), but I guess all focus is on SW:TOR for now.

BTW, I haven't played ME1 or 2 ... how is it in comparison to the KOTOR series?

Well its the same but different. Alot of the basic idea's of KOTOR lay the foundations for ME and ME2. But its totally its own beast. Its hard to categorize it into a set field since it warps the line.

@ Azimuth: [SPOILER!] Im about 25 + hours in. Ive found and done 2 N7 missions. Not counting the Cerberus one. Are they all that shot? Also im guessing you imported your character, did you find anywhere the game got ur desicion wrong? For me i killed all the Colonists on Feros, but on Illium that green chic thanked me for saving the colony :confused: Just curious if its a one time thing or if u found anything like that. [/SPOILER]
 
Most of the random missions are quite short, yeah. But I guess they're made up for with complex character-based missions.

To be honest, I don't remember what I did with the colonists on Feros, so I'm not sure if the game had it right or not.
 
The side quests are short but they are a lot better than the ME 1 ones imho.

Question for people who finished the game, do you have enough credits at the end to get all the upgrades or do you need to make choices??

Credits dont seem to be the problem, resources are or finding the mods in the game to unlock the other upgrades. My First set of fish died. Love the space hamster though.

I only struggle to find element zero, platinum is a bit harder as well but I have huge amounts of irdium and palladium.

I fell asleep mining on Sunday. Just sat there scanning the planet up and down and well fell asleep for a few minutes. Till i hit a spoke and the controller vibrated in my hand.
 
i'm currently struggling with irridium and eezo...

but so far i love this game. much better than the first so far.
