Assassins Creed 2 - Black Edition for PC?

Hi all,

To those of you who use BTGAMES as much as I do, to the extent where I believe I should be part of their monthly board-meetings as a major share-holder by this time, I've noticed something a bit odd with Assassins Creed 2.

I've pre-ordered the Black Edition of this game for the PC when it was first listed on the BT Games website. Being apparently very exclusive I jumped to the chance to get this....but I see it's never listed on the Release Lists anymore?

Have some of you here ordered the Black Edition as well? I've got my confirmation e-mail about my pre-order. I'll be a little peeved if this isn't coming anymore. I already have the White Edition for the XBOX 360.
 
Well I e-mail BTGames early this morning...no answer. Maybe keeping quiet IS an answer lol.
 
See I'm trying not to give them too much flack, but I really get annoyed when they don't reply to e-mails. I work in a VERY busy corporate office and I have to attend to all my e-mails, more than 100 a day easily, as fast as I can...they have no excuse to ignore me like this. But yeah, I let my wallet do the complaining to them from now on :) ZAPS...here I come man.
 
1st: Whats so special about these editions?

2nd: I thought there wasn't gonna be a black eddition for AC2.
 
Still no feedback from BTGames on the issue. I have proof that it was made available to pre-order and it was NOT cancelled from their side...so I would really like to know what the story is here. This was my last e-mail to "Glen".

To date there has been NO official cancellation of this product from BT Games, but it has been removed from your Release Schedule lists? I am HOPING that you removed it from the release schedules simply because you’re not taking any more pre-orders for it, as it’s very limited, and the people that DID pre-order in time will still receive theirs.

To cancel the product due to “not enough people” pre-ordering it does not make sense because it IS a very rare edition and that’s the whole point behind it.

YAY! Just got a confirmation e-mail from Megarom and spoke to BTGames head office (Jeremy - very helpful guy...will speak to him in future)......and it IS coming in...thank flippen goodness!!! :)

This begs an interesting question...I looked at ZAPS online and they too do not list the Black Edition at all.....I wonder why that is??

The Black edition is not available to us - I could be wrong but I thought that the BE was exclusive to BT - as i think this edition was on the console release.
 
Most likely is that it was sold out with the initial preorders hence they removed it from the site so they didn't oversubscribe the product. You don't want a scenario like what happens with gamespot in the US regularly where they oversubscribe a special edition and then just chance random people's orders to the standard edition.

You should make up your own special editions moody, like a "white supremist" edition or something lol....make it REALLY exclusive :)
 
If you did not pre-book the black edition far in advance you wont get it some people started booking the 360/PS3 versions 5 months in advance so I got the white edition instead.
 
I am just getting the standard edition AC2 just isn't the type of game I am willing to spend extra on getting the special versions.

Its worth every cent the game is a absolute massive improvement over the first leap and bounds.
