This Months NAG

Ah poor NAG just can't do anything right no matter what they do ... the sand idea...yeah wasn't really a fan - and the CNA I bought it at actually wanted to return them all - but yeah it was a once off marketing exercise (albeit an unpopular one). I just simply opened mine outside!

So who bought a copy of NAG this month and what did you think about the Dirt 2 sand in the packaging?

Tbh I thought it was quite clever :p initially i thought it was for Prince of Persia forgotten sands but ja i dunno doing little things like that is what you call real marketing :D

yeah, genius or thought that one up. But I suppose it is different and that is sometimes a plus - so called marketing. But what resemblance does the sand have?

so if they ever make a new blood, when nag reviews it will they fill it with blood:p

I also thought it was quite clever and could see why they would do it - maybe with an inner bag to keep the sand away from the magazine and for a bit more protection for the disc.

That would have been better.

well N.A.G is about the only good gaming mag we've got out there...but I still do think its getting a bit overrated as the content gets less and less and reviews about shittier games gets more and more

That. :P

And given the currenteconomicclimatelol, advertisers (especially the sort of advertisers in NAG - i.e. small independant businesses) aren't buying ad space. So the magazine has to cut costs somewhere. Bye bye spine.
Have you guys never thought of cutting your fees to attract more advertisers- we used to place ads in NAG but it became way to expensive.

I also think its the best local gaming mag out there and its still seems to be very popular - We normaly get about 40 copies in and they are normaly gone within a couple of weeks - well the bulk of them anyway.
This month though we have about half left and i was just wondering if it was this sand promo/gimmick that had put people off.

I had a couple mates ask me to check their mags all sealed and stuff and they all thought the magazines fell off the back of a truck :p

It's all part of marketing, they are trying...I would in the other hand not be full of crap:) about it though...
