So while going through my PC games collection today looking for my copy of The Witcher Enhanced Edition, I came across my copy of the original game. Now since I have the Enhanced Edition I was thinking that I don't need this copy of the original edition anymore. If anyone is looking for the game/hasn't played it yet and wants this copy, let me know. It's not in mint condition anymore as a result of borrowing it out (DVD has some surface scratches, but nothing serious and the slipcase is a tiny bit damaged around the side). Since The Witcher is my favourite game of all time I want as many people as possible to experience this amazing game :p, I am therefore willing to give away this copy for free, all you have to do is pay the postage if you want it.

This is the original version of the game, which still has a lot of bugs and broken dialogue, but the enhanced edition patch (as well as patch 1.5) is available for free download as far as I'm aware.

If more than one person is interested in this I'll think of some way to determine a "winner".

Mods: if I'm not allowed to do this just let me know and delete the thread, I will then find another way to spread the awesomeness that is The Witcher. :P
 
That's awesome of you Wlad. I've got the Witcher and still got to play it. Maybe you can hold some little compo where people have to write something funny to get it or a haiku or a paragraph why they deserve it. Haha I don't know, maybe you can just give it to Crzwaco since he came first. Either way it's awesome of you to give the game away to a fellow forumite. :)
 
Man I still need to play this game, but am not keen on downloading such a large game from legit sources, and I am wary of buying from overseas (baaad experiences).

I still cannot believe I missed this title being the RPG-nut I am...

I don't know if you saw this, but I came across it now: http://more.take2.co.za/moreuk-the-witcher-pc-dvd-b000pivx4e.html.

Although that's not the Enhanced Edition at least you can still get a hold of the vanilla release and it's not too bad a price. You will still need to download the roughly 1GB enhanced edition patch as well as the language packs (UK English is about 500MB) and patch 1.5 which is another 350MB or so if you want the definitive Witcher experience.

I know that's a lot of bandwith, but IMHO it is more than worth it by far. The Witcher is truly one of the best, and certainly my favourite, RPG's of all time. The story is awesome and the world is really immersive. There is also a lot of user-created content and game tweaks available. I highly recommend it to any RPG nut, I am on my fourth playthrough and still loving every second of it. I cannot wait for the sequel to come out ...
 
Thanks Wlad I will look into that. Funny thing is I checked Take2 not so long ago for the game and did not get any good hits. Guess it must be some kind of restock, or it may have been overpriced initially.

Curses, now I need to make budget for it! But thanks a ton for the link ^_^
But just my luck I have issues again with overseas shipping. :p
