CryENGINE 3 on the horizon

I highly admire Crysis, they're making some good things and keeping me well entertained. Far Cry was an ultimate winner for me, I loved it. So 2 weeks and we'll be able to see what they've come up with.

Far Cry 2 sucked tremendously compared to the cryengine 2. Fire might have been "dynamic"(it doesn't work all that well) and it did run better on most systems.

TBH

Crysis warhead patch 1.2 = 28 FPS ave everything maxed out on 1920x1200

Far Cry 2 1.0 = 37FPS 1920x1200 everything maxed out.

And visually I can live with the 10 fps less :P

By the way. I really want to see it. ;)

see this is my problem. Cryengine 2 still is not running perfectly even on HIGH end machines, but allready Cryengine 3 is on its way.

I still say it's a conspiracy. WE get 2-3 year old hardware, otherwise how could they develop and run these things smoothly, when the hardware we have, even up to a year from now will never ever run it smoothly.

I agree that developers should try to use the hardware that is available to them instead of moving forward all the time and forcing us to upgrade.

This is where consoles have a huge advantage!
