haha, most of my friends play guitar so when I'm at their houses I usually pick it up and get a few pointers...


But anyway, it's late and I haven't been sleeping all that well lately, cheerz man. And good luck with those blogs!

So how goes with STALKER ? Geez I played that last night, found it very confusing for the most part

Finding it too easy even on veteran. The atmosphere is still distinctively STALKER but the survival horror part feels... weak. Even those dammed bloodsuckers dont scare me anymore. Listen for where the breathing is coming from and once it uncloaks i just unload my automatic shotty on it . Also the fact that the factions dont seem to remember how many of its members ive gunned down bugs me. Ive wiped out entire bandit camps then walk down the road and bump into 2 Bandits on partrol. I then have enough time to take out and equip my Desert Eagle, Reload it and then pop a cap in each of their skulls. My character must have a really trust worth face or something. If it was my faction i wouldn't stand for that kinda crap.

What are you finding confusing? Is this the first stalker game ur playing?
 
Yeah its the first one I'm playing, so I knew I was taking a chance. The sound and atmosphere are excellent , no doubt there, but I spent about four hours on it last night, really trying to enjoy it.. There was one part where I was on a plateau at the start, this dude runs and jumps off, something happens and I was like WTF?
Also I was kak tired so maybe I wasn't paying attention :p
 
Remember when surrounded by Anomalies take out a bolt (press 6) and throw it infornt of you to see where is safe to walk. You can also take out your Detector (Press O) since there might be an artifact in the anomalies. On the plateau u jump into a teleporting Anomaly to get onto a previously in assessable spot. Maybe the idea behind call of Pripyat is that you have played the others since they give more help early on.
 
Yeah the game chucks you in the deep end (if you're new), I went through the manual, went online for some more info and still..I mean I would never have known that I'd been teleported if you hadn't just told me that

Yeah it kinda does. In Clear Sky you jump off the hightest point of a bridge and end up in a tunnel. Kinda how i figured out i got teleported.

Ok, I suppose it is pretty obvious, but the landscape was so similar that it looked like all I did was jump off a hill
