BFBC2 First Impressions

Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC – I have just played a bit of the single player campaign and can honestly say that this is no where near as easy as the first one. Enemies are every where no more just finishing a level just by sitting back and sniping!!!

You start off on a raid – in WW2 against a secret Japanese island base where they are developing a new terrifying secret weapon – Don’t worry – for those of you are tired of WW2 shooters – the game soon moves to modern day Russia.

The weapons are awesome and the totally destructive environment is great although it is still a bit hit and miss as in the previous one – It looks as if certain objects – some trees and telegraph poles – need to be blown up and using a light machine gun on them has no effect – not even bullet holes. Also most houses can only be destroyed down to a certain level no matter how many grenades/C4 you use. Maybe I was expecting too much!!

The campaign is fun, fast paced and action packed a big improvement on BFBC 1 – although some of the scenes will seem very familiar to you – ambush a patrol in the snow, get into the back of a truck and defend it as you drive down a mountainous road etc…

Your teammates still make their funny remarks and have their own private conversations going on in the background and I must admit that I found myself not playing and listening to their banter a couple of times.

Graphics are good and my HD4850 was running everything on high with no issues what so ever.

Overall I’ve enjoyed what I have played of the campaign and whilst I havnt seen anything really new in BFBC2 I would still defiantly recommend it as a fun shooter.

Now I just cant wait for this to be released tomorrow so that I can play some multiplayer!!!

There ya go.

You do but its such a short level that before you know it your whisked into modern day Russia.

With the limited ed you can get the Thompson I heard, but why would you use a outdated gun?

Yes but this is a modern warfare. I would think it would be obsolete. Well I am getting the limited ed any way.

Yeah but remember the AK is still in used today...

Just that the tomygun is an American gun and well they don't age well lol.
My order just shipped so hopefully I will get it tomorrow :D

modern reproduction tommy guns and even well maintained old ones are still quite lethal even by today's standards, it's one of those proper designs, not alot of frills, just built to do the job. old in looks yes, but functionality? heck no
