So Ive always heard from numerous biased critics (being friends and whomever :p) that Fear 2 is rubbish compared to the first one, they however can't justify this claim enough. Now I would like some of you out there to tell me whether its decent enough to warrant a purchase. It's going for like R180 lately and I need a new Xbox game. Thanks! :D

I played Fear 1 on the PC, not bad but not as good as I expected. (I never finished it)

I played about 10 minutes of Fear 2 on Xbox 360 and didn't like it at all.

I bought it off Kalahari for R170 or something, haven't played it yet but at that price how wrong can you go?

I am pretty sure it is worth it.

Prepare for disappointment of the highest order!
But, at least you got it at a good price - I paid R450 for it on PC
/cries

Yeah I've a lot of better shooters. Had a few fun gun fights but nothing to write home about.

Yeah I always wanted to try it out, but was never prepared to fork out even R370 for a pre played version.

I don't think its that bad, It's definitely not as good as the first but at R180 its worth it imho. But a better option would be to get a second hand shooter that's much better if you don't have the cash to fork out R699. If you haven't played the Riddick games, they are now R200 brand new and you get two games in one :) and Escape from Butcher Bay is a excellent game... it alone is worth the price tag

Well to be honest, I never really liked the Riddick games. They felt very empty and more frustrating than anything else. Lack of progression, be it weapons or leveling of some sort, made it dull for me. The graphics however were brilliant. Played it on PC.

I wont be getting fear 2, Ive read too many negative reviews on it. Will scout for something else :)

I see what you're saying, to enjoy the Riddick games you need to enjoy more stealth games then shooters. Thought I just mention it since it's going for dirt cheap. There are a lot of shooter games out there and quite a few on specials (especially the older classics)
