The Witcher 2 Trailer

Looks great. I see rpg watch is mentioned some news of Q 1 2011 as a release. I think they will push that back, too risky with cd projekt's financial struggles to put it in the same time frame as the new dao title.

BTW. For those interested, the third english translated novel called time of contempt will be launched april.

Good to see there are some other Witcher fans out there, most people I know don't really like it. Retards :p

I found it a very mature game not like Dragon age. I liked the fact that the main character swore and cursed:D And that the creatures were fun to kill. It was a fun adventure. But I hope the new one keeps what made the first one so fun:D

Yeah man, the only thing "mature" about Dragon Age is the large quantities of blood. Also in Dragon Age you could only have "relations" with one person and in The Witcher you could do it with about 30. :p

IMHO Geralt is the most awesome character ever created and I tip my hat to CD Projekt Red for bringing Andrzej Sapkowski's world to life. I also have full faith in them that they will improve on every single aspect of the first game.

Yes yes good good. And all you had to do was bring some woman a sweet roll.

Yeah, was awesome. Sweet rolls, scarfs, gloves, diamonds, flowers; all of these were accepted as payment for "services" rendered. :p

I always have it installed on my PC. I'm a HUGE Witcher fan, have the first translated book (The Last Wish), The Enhanced Edition of the game and a Witcher tattoo on my wrist (I'm planning on getting 2 or 3 more, just need the cash). Also had the initial vanilla version of the game, but I gave that away. I'm planning on buying the second English book (Blood of Elves) at the end of the month and the third one when it comes out. If you are in the least interested in reading fantasy novels I recommend you read these books if you haven't already. Andrzej Sapkowski is one of the best writers I have come across in my life and the world he created is truly an awesome one.

Disagree with both of you. Found both games to be mature. Agree that the novels are great. Really looking forward to time of contemp, have read the first two and they were fantastic especially blood of elves.

Different games though Witcher is much more of solo rpg game where you play a specific character and because its based on the books they can't really allow the player change much of his personality. While with dao the party plays a much bigger role and there is more scope for the player to shape his pc's character.

Geralt of rivia is my favorite gaming character though.

Both are in my all time top 10 list though.

I'm not saying Dragon Age is a bad game, I have it on both PS3 and PC and I'm currently playing Awakening on PC. I just don't think that it was as mature as The Witcher, and I'm not talking about the "relations" with females, that was just for laughs. The Witcher just had a much more mature story and it dealt with some very mature topics such as racism and bigotry and it also kinda forced you to make decisions about these things. That's another thing I love about The Witcher. There's no moral "scale", no good or evil, just choices and consequences. I don't recall any other game I have played where my decisions had such an impact on the game world and the story. (Except maybe for Heavy Rain, but that's different)

This is very true, mature games, not afraid to to swear and show violence and containing sexual content, is the way to go for this genre, in my opinion it is more realistic when considering how theses stories and worlds will play out. These characters will act like that
