Whats happening to me?

Ok I have been PC gaming since '05, about 2 years before that TV Games (NES/SNES/SEGA copy console)
Lately, I found this change in the way I see games, it seems to be affecting games like Fallout 3 plus all expansions and borderlands. I came to a small Epiphany a few months ago that the the mission seem so monotonous! go there kill that, collect that, come back , rinse and repeat.
Borderland is especially bad in this case, the problem is its really ruining my experience, whats happening to me? how can i fix it? :(

What is happening to you is perfectly natural.
I'll warrant that it may also happen to some game reviewers.
You have been playing similar types of games for years and the novelty has worn thin.
Take a break from gaming or try some genre you have not yet played. Quirky indie titles or
puzzle games perhaps?
Failing that, read.

i also feel the same man... i just couldn't play borderlands for prolonged period.. had to force myself to finish it... try different types of games like phoenix suggested

thanks I'll give that a Try

But those games were boring. Borderlands was ok for a bit then got boring fast.

Best thing is mix it up. Try something new and out of your scope of comfort. Lol, get a console, that will do it ^_^

Also things like depression (whether you know you are or not), can have a HUGE impact on enjoyment levels.

It is like looking at a picture on a wall eventually it all looks the same, so ja mix it up or take a break.

This is whats happened to you... You became a BLASPHEMER!!!

On a more serious note. Try other genre games for a while, or put a little more attention into secondary hobbies, or even both.

Try playing a game type you used to love, but sort of forgot about over time.

This happens to me too, usually when I've played too much games. One gets burned out no matter how much you may love it. Usually a week or two with no gaming fixes the problem. :)

Well I assume you don't have a console as no mention was made in the post, if this is the case then you might want to get back into it seeing as you started your gaming life with a console.

And for the love of all things holy, please dont call it "TV Games" :)

I went through a similar situation a while back, went out, trolled the Interwebz to death and found myself a Gamecube with 5 games I had never played
Always wanted a Gamecube.............

this is where it's nice to be spoiled for choice in terms of platforms aswell. pc/ps3/360

i got enough games across plenty of genre's to keep me entertained. my wallet hates me though. as does my studies :(

I feel your pain Tank. But it is worth it if you are a gaming nut!

Well 1st I don't have money to buy a console, 2nd they are "TV Games" because it one of those cheap rip offs from china (even tho it looks alot like a NES) I would never label a proper console "TV Games" so don't worry ;)
