I don't like dogs. And that is hardly the same thing. Yes some people need to know the basics of computer care.

Pfft. First thing I always do with a new laptop is re-roll it completely, including taking out the stupid recovery partition and all that pre-installed rubbish like Norton fucking Antichrist. Your Windows licence key is printed on the laptop, and since you can use any Windows disc to re-install it, it doesn't matter if the laptop didn't come with one. And who needs a recovery partition? Just back your stuff up regularly. That's what additional hard drive partitions and external HDDs are for.
