checking RAM speed on Windows 7

I am using windows 7 for the first time and i don't know how to see if the RAM is actually running at 1333Mhz. Is there a way that i can check this?

Problem with CPU-z is that it don't tell you what speed it currently runs at. for example if you have DDR3 1333Mhz it should only tell you the speed of 1333Mhz even if it's been clocked at 2000Mhz or even 1066Mhz.

that's what I understand.

I found all the specs. The notebook is supposed to have 1333mhz DDR3 RAM. It says it is DDR3 RAM but it is only running at 800Mhz. I have spoken to the people I bought it from and they gonna get back to me today. Anyone maybe have an idea why this is so though?

Check the bios settings. Most MBs will allow you to set the frequency.

Edit: N.B, the motherboard is probably setting your RAM to 800mhz so it can run at 1:1 ratio with your FSB and CPU. To get the RAM to run at 1333mhz at a 1:1 ratio you will probably have to overclock.
