Phoned CCMA, I have a case. He's now avoiding even telling me what salary he'll pay me, I asked the secretary regarding payday and she said she's paid anywhere from the 25th to the 3rd- how can he expect people with financial responsibilities to cope like that? I've been here 3 weeks and I'm waiting to get paid then I'm out- I refuse to work for people like this, they can take advantage of someone else. I've got that email I sent yesterday as proof as well as my ad mentioning my salary expectations. I'm sorting this out, but he's is the slimiest guy, can't believe I didn't see through him in the beginning...

Anyway... sjoe I'm surprisied all that came out now but I guess it's rather telling as to how stressed out I am at the moment...

It is indeed, not cool working like that at all. But looks like you have everything under control there :)

Thanks :) Sjoe I think that's the most serious I've ever been on the TK :o Anyway, just got an email from someone who is potentially interested so hopefully I get to move on soon!!!!

What do you do for a living?

I'm operations manager for a logistics company. That pays the bills.
My soul food comes from sound design/music composition

That is heavy Lush! Glad to hear you're getting your facts in order with the CCMA etc. It's not acceptable to be working under those conditions! And good on you for wanting to get out before you really get sucked in and suckered over!

Yep... trying my best hey. Just quite disappointed because I was really enjoying the work but I refuse to work without stability and security i.e. a contract. And he has the cheek to say to me "You do realise you're the only person in the entire co. who'll get a contract. You've created so much work for me now" :rolleyes: And I just looked straight at him and said that I cannot work without one. Anyway, hopefully he'll play nice... but if not I'll sort him out with the CCMA. Thank goodness I got my stubborn attitude from my dad...

Thanks for the support... I lay awake for 2 hours from 4am on tuesday just going over this again and again. It's very stressful...

Anyway, let's lighten up the TK already, enough of my rants! :o :p

Screw him! People don't work without contracts, it just doesn't work that way! He just wants the option of screwing people over! Good on you for taking it further!

I agree... I'm hoping the CCMA are jacked up though. I need to visit the labour dept asap... I see a lot of paperwork ahead of me if he doesn't sort himself out... :rolleyes:

Agreed im over your rants :p joking lushey i thought your loved your job didnt they tell you to go test out a 5 pack of featherlite domes ? oh wait no thats what everyone else here was thinking :D

Oh and I wasn't told to test them!!! Ew! That was your overactive imagination talking... Oh I wrote the copy for studded too, not just Featherlite ;) And stop all the condom talk, people are going to start thinking I'm dodge!!! :o

No i would think you more dodge if you werent using domes :P so which was better studded or feather ? :D
