I need a "new" FPS; suggestions

Hi Guys and Girls

I'm after a "new" FPS and I need some suggestions.

Let me tell you what I'm kinda looking for and we can go from there...

Something like the early Rainbow Six games, you know where you lead your team against some Terr's and beat the crap out of them, or you can leave your team in a hold /cover position and go off solo.

I like the idea of being able to play as any team member so it's not game over the second you get hit.

I really don't give a frak about mutliplayer. Yes I just said that. I really liked the setting of CoD Modern Warfare 1, but I really really really hated the never end waves of terrs unless I moved on. So if Modern Warfare 2 is like that, it won't make the list.

Also don't really want any stupid supernatural or alien crap in it. Really just looking for a tactical current era Terr, counter-terr FPS.

I don't care if it a couple of years old either...

Finally I've already got / played /dismissed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1
FarCry 1+2
Crysis
Stalker Clear Sky
Wolfenstien
Rainbow Six Vegas
Ghost Recon AWF
Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising
Any FPS set before 1995 or after 2020 (unless still uses current weapons)
Anything set exclusively in a Jungle, Wasteland, Snow.

I'm being picky I know.. really I just want the first 2-3 Rainbow six games with updated graphics, sound, engines and AI... is that too much to ask?
 
U should get battlefield bad company 2....its set in jungle,snow real fun to play with destuctible houses

Modern Warfare 2
Battlefield Bad Company 2

Modern Warfare 2 single player was short (as you prob have already heard) but I enjoyed it. Battlefield BC 2 is just insane..
 
Does anyone still play single player these days?
I will do the single player missions in games like MW2 and BC2 but online gameplay is where its at!

A lot of people still do.

I for one hate the fact that companies are skimping on the SP these days, even if the MP is awesome.
 
What about MW2 and BC2, both awesome games. MW2 is a little bit over-rated, but its still a bloody good game. But Im still not sure it was worth R500.

I play SP when I get new games, then move to MP, although I am still new to the whole MP thing.

I actually prefer SP FPS games at the moment. Or SP-any-game at the moment. Not sure why. :/
 
Ya, I am still undecided, but I think Coop is pretty awesome. Sometimes MP can be a little too competitive, like COD4 for instance.
