curious how that compares with the 9800 st xfx. see they go for about 1.1k. or is it better to upgrade to something like the 260gtx rather from a 8800gt ?

Hmm thats pretty cheap. Well I think they very similar cards, much the same as the GTS 250, they all pretty much 8800GT's.

I am not really in touch with the Nvidia range at the moment, Ati is where it is all happening IMO.

wish nvidia would stop renaming and re branding the "same things". so confusing. Ati is the strong horse... for now anwyays. looks like nv is pulling a 3dfx before it died.

Yeah it is very misleading to the customers, sneaky if you ask me and unethical.

I mean a GTS250 is literally a 8800GT but is re branded as a "new" card. Its the exact same chipset.
 
The GTS250 is a rebranded 9800GTX+, which in turn is a slightly tweaked 9800GTX, which in turn again is basically a 9800GT, which is actually an 8800GT.
What you mean it's confusing? :p
