id Software "Doom 4 will be our best game yet"

i can only laugh and think it might be another engine with fetch this...turn that...kill this..open that. then again maybe with bethesda it can actually have a story for once.
 
I thought Rage was going to be their greatest game? :confused:

If they are beginning to talk about a post Rage Title it could mean Rage is almost ready for Retail....
 
Doom 3 was meh. Rage looks fun but doom 4 will be meh with good graphics. Unless valve have something up there sleeve and blow doom 4 out the water:D
 
now i have a problem with people talking shit up. doom 3 and quake 4 weren't all that...

fun yeah but ultimately meh

Valve? What have you been smoking? Id's games are mindless shooters, Vavle makes intellectual shooters there is no competition between the two. Its not like a gamer will go "Oh what am i going to play, Doom 4 of Half-life 3?" This isn't COD vs BF the two types of shooters, Id or Valve Games, are so far apart in terms of demography.

Yes but people to compare id to Valve. But I for one rather have Half-life.

People dont compare Id to Valve. You compare Id to Epic Games. Valve isn't compared to anything. In the video game world Valve is like The Dark Knight, comparing it to anything else is just pointless.

ID == Tech engines you can play with.
Epic == Rival tech engines to ID you can play with.
Valve == Intelligent FSP with Story.

Well ID might surprise us with Rage but yeah Tech Engines.
Epic managed to hit a sweet spot with Gears of War
As for Crytek they should be making Benchmarking tools instead of "Games"
 
I really enjoyed Doom 3. I'm not exactly amped for Doom 4, but that's because there are hardly any details to get excited over yet. Right now I'm looking forward to Rage, just a pity it got pushed back to next year.

I was like the only person on the planet that Liked Daikatana. WEll I only played the demo, while installing Deus Ex, and never played Daikatana again, cause I had Deus Ex. But It was cool cause it was, or maybe it was cool cause I was eagerly awaiting to play Deus Ex to much. Maybe both. Or you know maybe it wasn't that cool. Or Was it..... Hmmmmm.

Remember Far Cry 1. That was epic, and that was crytek's best game.
