Its not that bad:D Just gets boring learning scales. I am doing it for fun though not going to music school.

You need to know it to construct killer solo's. I am using a book. And You need to know it to communicate with the band on songs.
 
Not only that...I have to write one in Afrikaans, then English!! And the exams go 2 hours over when the the school normally ends during exams tomorrow. I am so not looking forward to it. There is a pro though - only had to do like a 45 min study session, just to familiarize myself with the layouts of the various essays, etc.

The reason I am learning it is my guitarist always talks about theory and I feel like I can't contribute to the discussion
