Did gaming really start on the PC?

i was trying to say something in general. not direct to anyone- thus trying to avoid more bullshit talk. however i see it's not working...

...simply that, it seems that we have a lot of talk on for example console VS pc VS wtf and that if it needs to be stopped then it shouldn't be encouraged in any form.

well that's what i wanted to say without doing the pew pew towards any soul.

Look, I see what you're saying. But most of the discussion in this thread and even in the comments under the article has been constructive, interesting, and worthwhile. My point is, I don't see why I should avoid certain topics (or commentary, for that matter) because a small, albeit vocal, minority can't take topics like this for what they are - platforms for constructive, interesting, worthwhile debate - and instead see them as declarations of hostility which necessarily preclude any sort of constructive, interesting, or worthwhile debate. While I'm hesitant to use a didactic example, it's kinda like a teacher holding back an entire class because one or two slowpokes can't keep up. Which - before someone decides to throw another tantrum - is not directed at anyone in this thread specifically, but meant generally.

More like a teacher chucking a rock at a kid then throwing him out of her classroom when he reacts negatively because he's 'disruptive'...but sure if you like.

Oh, yawn. I'll go back to my original suggestion - stop being such a victim. After 4 pages, it's still not working out for you.

Like. Chill, bro.

I'm not a pc fanboy. I never took it personally. It's your journalistic style I objected to - and your shrill reactionism.

Objection Noted.
/Writes down jasong's objection in big Mygaming Objection book.

YAY now we can move along. :p

Dudes, the last few pages have absolutely nothing to do with the topic. Let's discuss the content of the article, not the way it was written or whatever bias you think it may have.

Kthnx.
