Like Fallout 3? That engine was top of the line 3 years ago, now its a model T. New engine or bust.

I know what you mean. But I have a feeling it is going to be a modified engine.

I hope the game will have more substance than the last one.

Its called the Gamebryo engine. And yeah they going to use it again.

My Problem with games using the gamebryo engine is, that they are never tweaked to such an extent that they feel unique. And also, take Oblivion for example. Yes I know you have hundreds of square KM rendered and the models are (sortof) highly detailed, bt take the last battle for example when the Gigantic gate opens. You get to save cyrodiil, with like 8 soldiers fighting with you. WOOT EPIC BATTLE EPPIC............ NOT. Same with Fallout3, last battle alongside the gigantic robot with 4-5 soldiers to accompany you.

These games (eventhough countless mods provide some help) really need to be "populated" more. More NPC's, more VARIED Locations, More things to do, no matter what the setting.

Don't like the sound of fast action. Will most likely skipped this, hated oblivion and I doudt its succesor will be any better concerning npc and plot interaction.

This worries me:

"The game will bring “ fast-paced, easy-to-grasp action” to the series"

Looks like a lot previously complex games are getting this treatment. I do not necessarily mind these 'fast-paced' RPG's and such, actually I like many of them, it's just there are SO many of them now. I also love and miss the more complex in-depth systems some games have / had.

I like McDonald's, but I do not want it ALL the time!

+1000000000
I got bored of the game all there dungeons looked the same and the monsters were crappy.

to be quite honest... i think you can only have so much variation on what exactly a "dungeon" looks like hey

Fallout 3 ran a modified Gamebro Engine as will Fallout New Vega. I dont want modified, i want new. Other that the player count issue mappy noted the engine is also terribly out dated. Texture issues and has a knack for stupid AI.

stupid ai?

in some cases non-existant... artificial idiocy would better describe it...

Also think it's an April's fool.

Nothing on Bethesda's site about Alinor. Searching Google for Elder Scrolls V gets a bunch of old news (2006 - 2008). And Armor Games makes flash games.

Yea, looks like it. Am awaiting final confirmation, but the source article's post date pretty much confirms it. We got punked :(
