I went on to Zaps site to buy the freaking thing till I saw the price.
O well, I think I will also just stick with mine for now.

Unions have their place. Wait till your employer tries to screw you. R60 odd bucks a month and I'm happy to know that if I get screwed, I have someone behind me.
These okes abuse the unions and thats what is wrong. My wife once spoke to one of these union bigwigs as a journo and off the record he told her these negotiations are over before lunch is even served on the 1st day, because the companies know what they can give and the union knows that as well. The problem is the members who will riot if the union "accepts" the 1st offer because then the union didn't fight hard enough. So they say 1st offer is 5% knowing full well they will finish on say 8%, and members reject the 5%. This goes on for days while members think the union is fighting the corrupt system till eventually they settle on the 8%.
Stupid, but that is what happens in a mostly uneducated society.

Anyway, just heard from zaps that is indeed the new price, apparently Logitech had a price increase, but I mean R200 increase?? Bit nuts if you ask me.
