Dragon Age anime movie in the works

NO! In the name of all that is sacred! NO!

I would want to see it done as it was in the Sacred Ashes CG trailer or not at all.

The very idea of Morrigan with oversized eyes and blue, spikey hair makes me feel ill.

Funimation did Dragon Ball Z, not a good start. Hopefully it's better than expected.

If I recall Funimation are primarily responsible for publishing not making the Anime itself.

There are more mature artistic styles of Anime out there. I guess we can hope they use a more mature style rather than the over-sized eyes and such. Being an Anime fan I won't complain either way, but I can understand your sentiments.

Personally I am SO sick of CG, and would prefer any hand-drawn animation over it.

Erm....yes....I'll admit that the only anime I have been exposed to is the type I mentioned above-and Robotech.
I really ought to check my facts and not generalise submit opinions where I have not taken the trouble of thinking past emotions.

LOL robotech was nothing...

First off ... I need to clarify something (as to explain why I'm not thrilled about it):

In Japan, the word anime refers to any kind of animation.

Here in the West, anime is used to refer specifically to Japanese animation.

So, what we have here are two Western Companies - FUNimation and Bioware - collaborating on a project. No Japanese involvement that I can see. So strictly speaking:

1. Bioware doesn't know what anime is, and
2. It's not anime
3. It would be more accurate to refer to it as a Animated Movie.

Just for the sake of accuracy. Unless of course they use a Japanese studio for the actual animation - in which case I may change my mind.

As far as the FUNimation's quality goes - I'm divided, and tempted to refer to the phrase as an oxymoron.
