Rock Band 3 getting a full Squier Stratocaster controller

I have been playing "pro mode" for 3 years :p I would how ever want to see this in action.

And once again, left-handed people are screwed out of it. Amusingly enough, I already own a black and white Squier strat. A proper left-handed one. Take that, Harmonix.

It's a bit of a shame, though, because as a guitarist, I might've enjoyed Pro mode.

We lefties always get screwed.

Pardon my ignorance, but I always thought the difference between a left and right-handed guitar is the way it's strung? Or does the shorter curve make a big difference?

Regardless, the design they're talking about for the strat doesn't make it sound like it can just be restrung for lefties... There would need to be an option in the menu.

So does this mean Rock Band might have coaxed RustPuppet into playing the game yet??? :p now that a semi real guitar has been introduced :D

Well, sure, you can simply restring it. But that also involves playing the guitar upside down, putting all the control pots in the way of your hand, and the whole thing feeling very poorly balanced. Having played a restrung righty for about two years as a teenager, I can tell you, it's no fun. On top of that, there's simply no way I'm buying what is undoubtedly going to be an extremely expensive peripheral that isn't at all comfortable to play on, especially when I already own three perfectly good lefty electric guitars.

You're a lefty? You know you're probably going to die on average 5 years earlier than right handed people? lol sorry, it's a fact I seem to have remembered.

Nah, that's a myth. I looked it up a while back. ;)

We do, however, have a slightly increased disposition for psychosis. I blame scissors and door handles always being on the wrong side.

I wonder how this guitar will compare to the Power Gig - Rise of the six-string one? Being a guitarist myself, I would be really interested in picking up whichever one of the two performs the best. If I am not mistaken both of them can be plugged into an amp and used like a regular guitar so it would be interesting to see how they do.

True Story. 7 to 10% of the worlds population is left handed. 33% of people in psychiatric institutions are left handed. Thats some freaky math.

Im a lefty also.

when I first started looking at guitars, everyone told me to just learn to play right handed. I think it was good advice, since for once I don't have to worry about finding a lefty version.
