Other than the hardware that you already chose to upgrade, there aren't really any performance "holes" in your machine, not like it would perform badly at all without the upgrades.

If you want to upgrade for sake of futureproofing or maybe you run like to 5 virtual machines while playing Metro 2033, your options would be adding a second 5870, changing your CPU out for an extreme edition or doubling up your RAM capacity.

The problem with my mobo is that it only has 4 slots for the ram but you can only use 3 of the slots. if you use the 4th slot it runs single channel but it can support the i7 980x at least. Have already installed the BIOS update for that cpu! I am also thinking of maybe the GTX480 but worried about the blistering heat that i have heard of. The 5970 is the same price as the 480 so maybe that hmmmm. Maybe a new mobo but the SO has got 3x crossfire or 3x SLI support. It really irritates me that there are only 3x usable ram slots though.

If you plan on upgrading the mobo, I would go with Asus. Maybe one of the rampage boards.

Also, I would take the 5970 hands down. And thats coming from a (ex) Nvidia fan boi :p

What would i need a HAF932 for though? Maybe a little more airflow but my CPU is running @ 31degrees idle and max 45degree under full load. Those are very good temps for a i7 even without the overclock that i am running. It would also take up alot more space and for going to lans its just too big! I have tested a 5970 in my case and it fits very nicely, so only if there is a card that is bigger than that in the future will i worry about the case.

Yeah I guess so, not worth it.

5970 is a weeener! :D

Ja if i am gonna upgrade the mobo, i will either get the Asus Rampage III Extreme or the GIGABYTE X58A-UD7. These are both very good, they have also both got sata3 so my ssds should not be stopped at 280MB/sec, they are capped by the sata2.

Double post sorry! My laptop said that it had lost connection so i thought it did not go through without checking! SORRY!
