E3: Slimmer Xbox 360 revealed

not sure if I like the look, bit ugly, but otherwise nice improvements they have made! Might just be upgrading to one of these when they released.

that was adressed with the jasper revision, jaspers are pretty much bulletproof (i can say the same thig about sony and the ylod problems and the failing of the blue ray lenses which cost over a R1500 to repair ! :rolleyes:

Ylod which only plagued 60GB and 40GB models, even so the consoles lasted at least 2years ;)

The 360 finally looks like a next-gen console albeit a rip-off of the 60GB/40GB/80GB PS3 models, Glossy black, Touch sensitive buttons etc.
 
Well I know some 60GB Ps3's still going strong.

So calling it a rip-off is now a fanboy statement? Its evident that they did.
Removable HDD and built in Wireless? Come on!

Its a much better looking console compared to what it was so I am glad they took some ideas from Sony

the phat 360 also has a removable hdd, it also came with @ purchasable wifi addon (obviously it is built in now) the 360 had vibration @ launch, the ps3 didnt (sony lied and said it wouldnt work with sixaxis technology) now all ps3s also have vibrating controllers like the xbox :rolleyes: ! the xbox has a dashboard key on the controller (sony copied it and called it a home key) custom tracks, sony copied, trophies sony ripped of from achievements, should i go on ?
 
You forgot the PS Move copied the Wii mote :p
Still singing the same old tune Dohc, no matter what you bring up fact of the matter is MS are now making PS3 Phats lol!
Which isnt a bad thing really, too bad they couldnt fit the power supply inside the machine.
 
Anybody know when (if?) the price of current Xbox consoles will come down? Or will local stores continue to shaft us as long as possible?
 
I was gonna buy me another Xbox at the end of the month.

Anybody know if the arcade version will also be black?

I haven't read much on the Xbox slim and what I've read doesn't say specifically, but are we talking removable HDD like we have with the current Xbox360 or like the PS3?

To be fair build in wireless isn't solely the domain of the PS3, many devices come with built in wireless so this whole "MS totally ripped that off $ony" thing is maybe pushing it a bit. :p Obviously M$ was going to go this route at some point. I'm guessing that they didn't since they wanted to push their console into the houses of people by keeping the costs low and supplying add-on parts as needed....... expensive add-on parts I might add, but hey we are talking M$ here. :rolleyes:

If they are making "PS3 Phats" it's upgraded "PS3 Phats". Bigger HDD and a MUUUUUUUUUCCCCCHHHH faster wireless.......... faster than the PS3 slim?

There is only one real gripe I have with my Xbox360...... the whole HDD thing. $ony had the right/better idea to make it easy/cheap to replace your HDD. But as for the whole external power supply thing, I could never really understand what the problem is. Other than the schlep to get everything together in a bag when you go visit your friends/go on a holiday. :confused:

Unfortunately the gripe I have with my PS3 is a big one too...... that damn controller. There must be something wrong with my hands, can't play for more than three hours before the pain stops me.
 
I have that same problem with the 360 controller it cramps up my hands.

Oh and my comparison was between the 2 consoles in terms of built in wireless and meant as a joke, Dohc is just a bit uptight.

Unfortunately the HDD is still proprietary so the Removable part means nothing, still have to fork out exorbitant amounts of money for a bigger HDD.
On the other hand 250GB is pretty sufficient

Will love to see what Sony is offering us later tonight, no doubt a strong counter in the hardware front

Really? I haven't heard anyone else complain about it before. It could just be that people who only played with the Xbox360 battle when they use the PS3 and vice versa.

Sad about the HDD for the Xbox Slim. If there was one thing I wish M$ would "rip off" from $ony was the ability to change your HDD like the PS3. But you're right 250GB should be enough.
 
First I have heard of people complaining about the 360 controller.

Normally its the PS3 controller that takes flack.

Personally I way prefer the 360 controller.
 
All i knows iz i NEED one. Xbox live SA, new better xbox 360, MS is really putting it together this time.
