Usually spent about R1000 a month on games, sometimes more (thanks Steam Specials thread), sometimes nothing at all.

PC (takes alot of my money)

Xbox 360 (takes most of my money)
PS1 (doesnt take money no more)
Dreamcast (got the mofo fixed :D) (only takes money when there is something good for it on ebay)
PS3 (takes F'Call money i only have 2 games for it)

28, I have a PC, PSP, PS3, Wii and a Xbox 360, I don't spend a lot on games anymore got a wedding coming up so most of the cash goes there. But I used to spend around R1400+ a month depending on the games coming out.
 
I am 35, own a Nintendo Wii, DS Phat, PS2, PSP, [which I hardly ever use] Xbox 360 and a PC.
I have more than enough games for them thanks to an unfortunate tendency to lose my head
during sales. I am very seldom prepared to splurge more than R200 on a game and so buy mine second-hand or
during the sales that Incredible Connection and a number of online shops have every year.
I am trying to wean myself off this habit as I probably have more games than I shall ever get around to playing. I don't see myself upgrading my pc for at least the next 2 to 3 years either, unless something catastrophic happens to it.

I know next to nothing about the "current gaming environment" and so cannot comment on it.
 
27 - Own a pc/xbox.

spend about R400/R800 a month on buying new games (1 or 2 PC only)
rent xbox games, never buy unless old second hand.
and spend 1 - 2 monthlies on mmo subscription depending what's out there.
 
30 - Just my pc not mad about console games (its the controllers I tell you they are evil!)

Spend at the moment just mmo subs, pc games im rather fussy with and wait till my brother got it and finished it before I try it and then I will get it if I loved it. I dont fall for the hype thing at all anymore.
 
35 and owns 1 kick ass pc which I cant leave alone for too long.I am forever upgrading and changing stuff,bought a 27 inch lcd,new mouse and new mouse pad on Monday- 5 grand later :-)

I have a PC and PS3

I buy FPS games on PC which has multiplayer component. On PS3 I buy exclusives like God Of War and adventure games etc. I don't buy games every month. Its very random....

I have not bought anything for my PC in a while other than Roccat Kave which was about 2 months ago :D

I will probably upgrade in 2012 sometime if we all not dead....

I wants the new xbox when it launches!
 
29 and own an xbox, ps 3 + pc (which I don't really use for gaming, lol.) Usually try to buy a game or 2 a month, but hell....it's just becoming soooo expensive! Still enjoy it too much though!
 
I am 22. I own an Xbox Elite, with close to 100 Games, A Decent PC, I buy 2 or 3 games a month but generally more if there are interesting games.

Last ps3 game bought - Red Dead Redemption = R700 (It doesnt play on my stupid CRT TV so...)
HD TV - R6000.00

Well dude, when u consider that alot of 22-25 year olds tend to still be living at home or in some way leeching off the parents, its not that difficult to see where they got the extra cash.
Me, I just put money on the side every month so if there is something i want i can get it.

ja well i've wanted one for ages and ive been putting money on the side every month for the past 2 years, living skint bro. I mean after rent, dstv, internet amenities its tough.
So i decided to treat myself!
Trust me you wont catch me doing that again soon!!
