Why Real-Time Strategy games should not be MMOs

+1 for single-player RTS. I like to play with my own strategy and follow a storyline in a campaign rather than deal with the unpredictable masses.
I disagree for the reason that we should never say never. Just because MMORTS might have been done 'badly' in the past, doesn't mean that there might be that one developer that actually gets it right and sets the bar for a "MMORTS" genre.
Why limit our genres in such a way?
EDIT: One thing the author touches on is "balance", well TBH "balance" gets fixed much quicker in MMO's like WoW than any other genre. No need to wait for the next patch, since the devs release the fixes server side.
Blizzard released the best MMORPG ever, though there are still tons of single player RPGs, like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Gothic etc etc. Just because one developer decided to make a MMORTS, doesn't necessarily mean that EVER developer will make a MMORTS.
MMORPG and RPG are 2 different genres. Why can't it be the same for RTS?
