Thief: Deadly Shadows technical problem

So I bought it while it was on Steam special only to find out it doesn't support my native resolution 1680x1050. No problem Widescreengamingwould have a fix for it. They have one but eh it doesn't work.

I changed the options.ini file as prescribed but I got some bogus resolutions. I tried various numbers but again nothing.

Anybody been able to get this game to run @ 1680x1050?
 
Tried all that and nothing. t3tweak 1.2 doesn't give the option to change the resolution.
 
Please do this is pissing me off. Check if you get the option to change the resolution with t3tweak 1.2. I get "under development/coming soon" for the gameplay and performance options"
 
...this is what i did and how mine is currently at "1920x1080"

open the game.
setup it as you want without changing the resolution.
then save and exit.
go to the options.ini change resolution to -1 save ext.
open the T3FovPatch set resolution to 1680x1050 and not 4:3/6:9/6:10. you have to type it. apply it.
now your game should run in 1680x1050, but options doesn't show it as 1680x1050.
test it grab screen shot and look at the image's size. mine is 1920x1080.

edit:
i would really suggest careful saving practices. separately at least before mission start, on goal(s) and just before exit. thief is known to corrupt save games.
