PS3 sales closing in on Xbox 360

Well the Xbox 360 is what, almost 6 or so years old? Its aproaching the end of its life cycle. The PS3 on the other hand is just getting into its own. But it did take forever to come out and for some decent games to appear on it.

According to when you could first buy it:
Xbox, in Nov will be about 5 years old
Ps3 will be about 4 years old.
 
Hard to believe the PS3 is already 4 years old. To be honest, the PS2 had far better games available after 4 years, but at least some titles are really starting to shine now, like Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2 and Infamous.
 
I think these figures suggest that the PS3 might actually be a far more popular console than many realised. It's one year behind in terms of sales time, but only 3.8 mil or something in figures? But this time next year I suspect it will surpass the Xbox in numbers. The Kinect will help the Xbox, as the PS Move will the PS3, but that fad will pass in time.

I think you'll find that a lot of people were waiting for the PS3's price to drop enough to justify buying it.... like with me.
