PC Build Of The Week

Cool idea, miss MooDy...

But since you're a hardware supplier, can't you perhaps edit it to have indivudual item prices and the total cost at the end?

Ive thought about that V but hardware prices change - it seem almost like on a daily basis - Thats why I have linked the headings to the product page whose prices are updated regularly - other wise whatever prices I post in that post will be out of date within a week.

Which is perfect for "PC build of the week" articles. Besides anyone could pick the absolute best if money was no object. This isn't supposed to be an economic/value for money build either...just a nice one.

You can state at the top that prices are reflective of the date of article release only.

LoL V you know what will happen - I will put prices onto one of these posts and there will be an increase the next day

Then we will be reading all the false advertizing, ripping us off blah, blah, blah posts that I love so much;)

The prices are there if you follow the links - I'm just trying to avoid any future complaints by omitting them

And at the end of the day as you say its not so much about the price - even I would be unwilling to spend this kind of money in one go on a PC but rather about the PC itself.

Well I can always post the prices here - So long as we all understand that prices do change and that in 6 months time nobody gets crazy and starts demanding these prices - The nice thing about most hardware is that it normally just goes down in price - but RAM and hard drives can be a bit tricky.

Damn those are impressive prices, pity I don't have that much at the moment

I didnt really want the focus to be about pricing as as nice as these machines are they do cost a lot more than what most of us would be willing to pay for a PC - I mean you can get a semi decent box for a lot less - but I would be keen fo Sgt to link his componants to where he got them from.

hey Moody - thinking of getting that Chassis. 690 II Advanced.
Now I want to know if a HD5970 will fit in that. And for future proof will 2 x HD5970 fit in there?

You can fit in one if you remove the bottom hdd cage but it all depends on where the pci-e x16 slots are on your motherboard. So I would not suggest it.

True, but it is nice to see how much a decent machine costs nowadays.

Dude I would not try putting a HD5970 in that box. My GTX 480 is smaller than a HD5970 and it fit very snug in my Cosmos, so I think it will be a very tight fit in a 690 II Advanced.

Thanks for the links Sgt - I'm glad that you added that the prices were ex VAT - when i was trying to do a price comparison with my site I was getting a bit confused ;).
