Core i7 Extreme 965 Reviewed

LOL My point exactly...I don't know what intel's thinking pattern looks like but have they not realised that the world is busy trying to save money!!! I look at this cpu and go WOW...and then i keep walking and buy a top spec phenom2 x4 and mobo and ddr3 ram and top spec gpu and then i'll have a beer and some lunch wth the change.

But seriously, I couldn't agree more, and now Intel are suffering for it as i7 just is not selling

AMD will kick the snot out of intel this year when it comes to high performance cpu's for the simple reason that intel is just so damn exspensive!!

HAHA, I meant beer, as in, beer...mmmmm *stares longingly out the window*

At this point, i7 is a joke in my opinion. It provides around 20% performance increase (that's being kind) over CPUs that cost around 70% less.

I have never been a fan of the ultra high-end segment
 
Lol only if you bow down and admit that Intel is way overpriced and that AMD is the ultimate performance vs price cpu!!

I won't say they suck, remember, if you win a sponsorship from them, you will get the stuff for free. What will your comment be then? Only their pricing sucks. :D

I admit, I got a little carried away. I have been running the same dual core E6400 overclocked at 3.2 GHz on air for over 2 years now and I dont have one bad thing to say about it.

I just think that their current strategy with i7 is fail.

When they offer to sponsor the site I will tell them that, and then take their money happily :D

Weird... I've _ALWAYS_ been an AMD (Another moerse disaster) fan, but seeing as I'm still sitting with a 3000+, desperately in need of an upgrade, I was told to go for the Intel E7400.

When I get my funds sorted out I'll have to come back here to check which cpu/mobo would be the best bet right now...

My ddr400 ram has Alzheimer's already & can't remember stuff so well anymore :(
