Agreed. I played #2 the other day and after a few minutes I stopped and started playing #1 instead. I'm so flippen glad I did that.

The sad part is I prefer #1 way more than #2 so far.
 
Awesome. I hope the release a CE for the PS3 version, I missed out on the PC CE. It's sad that the first game won't come to PS3 as well, but it makes sense considering it was published by Microsoft and not EA.

But that shouldn't matter, considering that EA owns Bioware, who owns the IP. They can release it as Mass Effect COMPLETE for that matter without stepping on any toes.

Not if Bioware signed a permanent exclusivity agreement for the first game.

I may be wrong, but I'm under the impression that "permanent" exclusivity agreements are based on the actual game in it's "final" retail form.

i.e. they can change the title, add some extra content and call it something else completely : Mass Effect Director's Cut, for that matter.

Look at the Ninja Gaiden series. Both NG1 and NG2 are published by Microsoft Game Studios. That didn't stop Tecmo from releasing Ninja Gaiden Sigma(via Eidos) and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2(via Tecmo Koei) on the PS3.

Kinda like Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2 exclusive) vs Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance (Multiplatform).
